hello!
i'm alex
mera

senior Visual designer based in Fabulous las vegas

With experience in fashion, e-commerce, and tech, I've crafted corporate identities, national campaigns, design systems, and merchandising assets that blend wild creativity with streamlined functionality.

who am i?

My interest in graphic design began in my teens, always deeply intertwined with my love for skate culture, punk rock, and the rebellious spirit of graffiti.

I found freedom of expression in these forms of artistic mischief, helping me develop a creative identity that embraced rebellion, curiosity, and my roots as a Hispanic immigrant.

My beginnings were humble: playing in bands, making skate t-shirts, MySpace pages, logos and gig posters for punk and hardcore acts. From there, a genuine passion was born, which led me to pursue graphic design as a profession. I am a graduate of the Sullivan Institute of Design and Technology in Louisville, KY.

In addition to graphic design, I release music as a solo artist under the name Zeroaddone.

Why me?

With over 16 years of design experience, I bring a blend of the creativity and curiosity of my gig poster beginnings, with the strategic problem-solving and user-centric design skills obtained through leading high-level corporate design initiatives.

Style-wise, I like things to be clean, airy, with a focus on usability and accessibility but also a little room for boldness if necessary. I am passionate about traditional mediums like illustration, hand-lettering and calligraphy, but I also embrace new tools and methods like generative AI, incorporating them into my workflow to great effect.

As a Hispanic immigrant, I’m deeply committed to celebrating diversity, equity, and inclusion, integrating these values into my work and advocating for them within the design community.

I aim to bring my extensive experience, creative talents and unique perspective to a dynamic, inclusive team that values creativity, innovation, and a safe, collaborative environment.
